"Back in the day" sounds as if I am talking about being old and looking at the past. That's not necessarily true, although one might argue with the old when perusing the numbers of birthdays.

I've decided to re-present the many blog posts from the days of Daily Paintings (I along with another Virginia artist were ground breakers in the movement. Mine was also featured in the New York Times Arts section.) 

So from this moment on, I will re-post those blogs from those years, and update them with current news.

I started the Daily Paintings email mailing list and had thousands of folks on board, antici"paint"ing what would come off my easel each day. I'm quite a fast painter in any event, so doing one painting a day sounded like just another challenge.

So they began in October of 2005. Most of those posts are lost to history. 

As I regenerate the posts, I'll bring back many paintings that have long gone to collectors all over the world.
