Enrollment Information and Application

Five-Day Workshop Package includes welcoming wine and cheese reception at Fay's Farm, Sunday evening. Five full days of art instruction including critiques, demonstrations and daily painting sessions, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.

Supplies and Equipment:

You will receive a supplies list upon receipt of your enrollment form (below). It is important that you bring everything needed for class since the workshop location is more than six miles from town. A folding stool, a field easel, clothing and shoes appropriate for working outdoors are highly recommended if you paint outdoors. There are tables and chairs for studio painting, but you will need your portable easels. Bring bug spray and hats or umbrella if you plan on outside painting. If you are traveling in, supplies can be shipped via UPS, FEDEX or DHL to the farm.

Registration:

Class size is limited to 12 students (no exceptions) and reservations are accepted in the order in which they are received. A wait list will be created when the class is filled. Payment through Paypal, Postmark or fax date/time determines ranking. Use the enrollment form provided to register for the workshop and use your choice of delivery/payment methods.

Upon receipt of your deposit, you will receive a supplies list, detailed travel information, and a confirmation/invoice. The remaining balance will be due upon arrival. Balance may be made in US Dollars by cash, personal check or credit card through Paypal.com ( elinart@mac.com ).

Accommodations

Various motels and other accommodations are approximately six miles to 17 miles from the Farm. The farm itself offers five beds, which are on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Food can be prepared on the farm; there is a kitchen in the studio area and snacks, lunch and a light breakfast will be provided during the week by your host.

Travel Directions:

The workshop will be held on the 640 acre Georgia farm of Fay Bohlayer, located in Dawsonville, Georgia. The farm is located at 2700 Cowart Road, Dawsonville, Georgia, telephone (770) 893-3232. The airport is approximately 75 miles from the farm, if you are flying into Atlanta, please carpool or rent a car (no SUV needed). If participants arrive closely enough on Sunday, pickup at the airport is possible for a fee of $45 each, round trip. Attendees flying in should arrive by early afternoon on the Sunday prior, to drive up (1.5 hours) get settled and attend the 6:30 PM welcoming party.

Cancellation Policy

Deposits are applied as a pre-payment of tuition. All cancellations must be made in writing. Up to 30 days before the start of the workshop, $75 cancellation fee will be retained for each cancellation. For cancellations with less than 30 days notice, the deposit of $100 will be retained. Elin Pendleton Workshops cannot be responsible for issuing refunds, credits or transfers for classes missed due to illness, emergencies or events beyond our control. If Elin Pendleton cancels a workshop, all money will be promptly refunded. Call before enrolling if you have any questions about these policies (contact information in the application form).
